Following the success of last year’s funding round, SOCA launched the Community Chest for 2009/10 on September 17th.
SOCA is allocating £30,000 this year (£15,000 for Smethwick and £15,000 for Oldbury) to encourage and develop health improvement activities. Grants will be for the year ending March 2010 and the maximum amount that can be awarded to each application is £2,000.

Malling Health Centre on Western Road is now open. The health centre is opened from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday which is managed by two general practitioners and a nurse specialist practitioner .During the weekend our patients can be seen at our sister practice at parsonage street West Bromwich which is open 365 days of the year from 8am to 8pm.
