The NHS LifeCheck websites are part of a brand new Department of Health (DH) initiative to help people to take control of their own health and well being, by taking part in a confidential on-line questionnaire. In a fun and interactive way the site produces a set of personalised results and goals.

A Campaign has been launched to encourage the use of contraception in a bid to cut down the number of unplanned pregnancies among young people in Sandwell which increases during the summer months.The Need Protection, Use Contraception campaign is also aimed at reducing sexually transmitted diseases and at raising awareness of services available to young people in the borough.
It is being jointly run by the Children and Young People’s Trust and the DECCA (Drug Education, Counselling and Confidential Advice) team.

Mayor opens York Road play area

The Mayor of Sandwell, Cllr G S Sidhu on Thursday 11 October, officially opened the new Children’s Play Area in York Road, Oldbury.The Playground was designed with the help of children from Causeway Green Primary School. Langley Councillors Pauline Hinton. Martin Prestidge and Mick Davies were also  present at the opening ceremony.
